Saturday Safari 4-8 Year Olds

Classes are designed to help children (ages 4-5 and 6-8) discover the fascinating world of animals. Classes are held in the Conservation Station and combine a lesson with crafts, activities, trips into the zoo and animals in the classroom. Program length is 2 hours.
Program Times
  • 4-5 year olds - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • 6-8 year olds - 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Individual Program Prices
  • Members: $15 (1 child)
  • Nonmembers: $25 (1 child)
Bundle Program Prices
Bundles are: (Sept - Nov) (Dec - Feb) (Jan - May)

"Ocean Odyssey" - Dive into a wonderful watery world! Join us as we discover the creatures of the deep, and talk about how important it is to take care of our oceans.

"Color Changes" - Leaves aren't the only things that can change colors.  Join us as we discover the many ways that animals can change their hue.

"Beast Feast" - How many pounds of food can a giraffe eat in a day?  Who is the pickiest eater at the zoo?  join us to find out what it's like during meal time at the Greenville Zoo.
  • November 12

"Home for the Holidays" - We all like to be home for the holidays, including the animals.  In this class we will explore the many different types of animal homes from caves to trees and in between.
  • December 10

"Where's My Coat?" -'s cold outside!  Come on in and learn how animals stay warm in wintry weather.
  • January 21

"The Buddy System" - Life is better with a buddy!  Join us to discover some odd and unusual animal pairs found in the animal kingdom.
  • February 25

"Marching On" - Animals march to the beat of their own drums!  join us as we learn all about animal migrations.
  • March 11

"Animal Kin-dom" - From anteater-back rides to tongue bath time, join us as we learn about different parents of the animal kingdoms.
