Work is underway on a new South American mixed-Species exhibit and conservation plaza to replace the former elephant exhibit. The new exhibit, slated to open in the summer of 2015, will feature giant anteaters, rheas and mara, large South American rodents. Zoo guests will have the opportunity for up-close views from a deck overlooking the exhibit. Donate to the South American exhibit
