Homeschool Programs

On select Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year, the Greenville Zoo's Education Department offers lively, hands-on programs sure to engage students as they learn. All programs are 90 minutes in length.
Note: Although topics may be the same for each age group, the material will be age appropriate.
Pricing: Members - $10/per participant per program (or $50 for six programs/$90 for 12 programs); Non-members - $15/per participant per program (or $75 for six programs/$140 for 12 programs)

Go Wild for Math

Math Day has been designed to inspire students to learn more about how math is applied in the zoo workplace. Through student activities, students will answer grade appropriate math problems related to a wide variety of animal issues, exhibit upkeep and everyday life at the Greenville Zoo.
5-7 years olds: 9:00-10:30 am
8-10 years olds: 10:45 am-12:15 pm
11-14 years olds: 2:00-3:30 pm

Come learn about these amazing reptiles in action! We think you’ll agree that conservation efforts to save them are important, so they will be around for many, many more years to come.

Bugs and Botany
Registration closes March 13, 2014
Eeek! Bugs! Get crawled on by millipedes, fly through a butterfly’s life cycle, deconstruct a plant, hang out with hissing cockroaches, and more! Students will get up close and personal with some of our smallest neighbors as we crawl into the miniature ecosystem of bugs and plants.
5-7 years olds: 9:00-10:30 am
8-10 years olds: 10:45 am-12:15 pm
11-14 years olds: 2:00-3:30 pm
