[ARCHIVED] Greenville Zoo Hosts Hot Dog Day

Zoo-goers are invited to enjoy hot dogs, chips, Pepsi products and ice cream for
50 cents each at the annual Hot Dog Day presented by metroPCS set for Saturday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Zoo admission for the event is $9 for adults, and children ages 3 to 15 years old will receive a
special discounted admission for $2.50. There is a limit of four children per adult. Greenville Zoo
members will receive free admission to the event.

The Greenville Zoo is rated one of the best tourist attractions in South Carolina, attracting over
270,000 people annually. Operated by the City of Greenville, the 14-acre facility features wildlife
from around the world, including orangutans, giraffes, monkeys and giant tortoises. Visitors can
also enjoy one of the zoo’s most popular exhibits, the Reptile Building, which is home to a variety of lizards, frogs, turtles and snakes.
