Meet the Keeper

Last week we visited with our Reptile Curator, Barbara. Barbara has been at the Greenville Zoo for over 26 years. She is in charge of the Ektopia area of the Zoo. Ektopia houses our ectotherms, which includes reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. At the zoo, this includes the rhinoceros iguana, Burmese pythons, venomous snakes, and many more ectotherms.

While we were with Barbara, she was busy cleaning exhibits and preparing a snack for Scar, our rhinoceros iguana. We finished off the visit by spending some time with Pat, the box turtle.
