Giving Tuesday Now

Support Your Zoo on #GivingTuesdayNow

Join the #GivingTuesdayNow movement on May 5, 2020 by giving to the Greenville Zoo! People all around the world are rallying together to prove that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together. The Greenville Zoo is participating in this day of giving, created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we hope you will partner with us. You can help by following the Greenville Zoo Foundation on social media, then like and share our posts to help others see our needs. Don’t forget to tell us why you love your Zoo – we want to share your story! Email it to us today at info@greenvillezoofoundation.org.

ZOOmeetings

ZooMeetings

The Greenville Zoo has a new way to connect people to nature and generate some much-needed revenue during its closure. With ZooMeetings, for $75 or $100, you can partner with the Greenville Zoo to liven up your next virtual meeting. The meeting organizer selects their favorite animal from the list provided, and a Greenville Zoo educator will kick off the virtual meeting with a brief introduction.

To participate, call the Greenville Zoo Education Department at (864) 467-4850, email zooed@greenvillesc.gov or visit http://greenvillezoo.com/zoomeetings. A minimum of 48-hours’ notice is requested.

ZooMeetings will allow animal lovers to show their support and help ensure that the Greenville Zoo can continue to fulfill its mission by providing programming that educates and inspires the community. Video: https://youtu.be/8pml47DWTgg

Meet the Zookeeper

Meet Zookeeper Jen. Jen has been at the Greenville Zoo for over 7 years now! She is in charge of the South American area of the Zoo. This includes our ocelots, white-nosed coati, rheas, giant anteater, the aviary, and the lagoon!

While we visited with Jen, she was busy training the ocelots and getting dinner ready at the aviary. We finished our visit with snack time with our rheas, Penelope and Dudley!

Continue to follow us on social media as we get to meet all of our keepers here at the Greenville Zoo.
